Horizon Right Now
July hasn’t been hot, as one might expect, but particularly rainy. A kind of drizzly rain.
The horizon looks different every morning and at a different spot. As if the rows of trees shifted during the night and in the morning arranged themselves into a new formation. Frozen in place for the day, only to resume their summer frolics in the evening.
Who knows, it could very well be so.
I love the shades of blue, and now there are so many in the horizon that I can hardly keep up. It would be wonderful to be able to come up with names for all the different shades, but even my native language doesn’t quite bend that way. I can only admire the skill of nature's painter as it blends the hues together like watercolors mixed.
So, now that most of the yard work is on hold due to the rain (the laundry has also been "drying" on the line for almost three days), I content myself with admiring the richness of the blue shades in the horizon. It’s a wonder how the green forest can fade into the mist so gently and harmoniously.
The rows of trees have organized themselves in front of the hill, with the taller ones in the back and the shorter ones in the front, as if by mutual agreement.
“Click,” the photographer captures the lineup of the horizon just now. After that, it’s free to move elsewhere again.
