Spring in the North of Finland - VIDEO
In this video, I’ve captured the essence, thoughts, and life of spring in our northern home.
As I’ve mentioned before, spring here doesn’t quite match the spring I remember from the south. Honestly, I find myself envious of the spring scenes I see on social media—greenhouses reopening after winter, liverworts unfurling their leaves, and sunshine warming up those enjoying coffee on their summer cottages.
Yet, there are positives to our spring as well. I still get to ski for the seventh month in a row. I use skiing to fend off the inevitable spring fatigue that hits around this time of year when the increasing daylight is more than my mind and body can process. I then enjoy cozying up in the dimly lit cabin with a book or knitting, when the bright spring rays become a bit overwhelming.
What does spring look like in your hometown?
Enjoy the video!
