Wool Sweater Snow Washing: The Battle Between Winter and Spring - VIDEO
The snowstorm shakes the trees in the yard and scrapes the logs of the cabin. The yard accumulates meters of snow—no exaggeration—every day, as the wind blows it up from the lake to the top of the ridge. Snow work is something everyone who can wield a shovel must do, whether they’ve come for the weekend or not. That’s “spring” here on the ridge.
I’ve shared a new video on YouTube. In it, I show the current battle between spring and winter, which is clearly ten-nothing in winter’s favor right now. I also explain how I take care of all my handmade knitted clothes, which we use diligently every day. I give them a snow wash once a year. It’s a handy way to clean all textiles, even non-woolen ones. And it’s really fun too. You’ll see how it works in the video.
Warmth and light to your days.
