Van life - Alone in the middle of nowhere - VIDEO
I’m already on my way home from the trip. A bit dizzy from all of this—the summer, the adventures it has brought, everything I’ve seen and experienced. Phew. Yet, I’m not quite ready to return home. However, I must go back; the blueberries are waiting, you know.
I made a video about life on the road. About what it’s like to be and travel alone, to hike alone. Why I do it and how it works. When you’ve been alone for a long time, you sometimes have to come up with ways to entertain yourself, like pondering place names on the map or dancing alone in the van. That’s how it is.
Now, I’m packing up the van one last time for this summer, closing the doors dusted by little country roads, and heading toward my cabin by the river. There, a misty, slightly autumnal riverscape is waiting, where the last fledglings are learning the skills they need for their autumn migration.
I hope the summer has treated you well and gently. Lots of hugs!
