Preparing for Winter - VIDEO

The winds have shifted to blow straight from the north, and you know what that means? Winter is coming.

During this digital quiet time—something I do occasionally—a lot tends to happen behind the scenes. And this time is no different. New winds are blowing not just in nature, but also within my little business.

I’m finally wrapping up the creation of a new website. It’s been on my mind for a long time, as the old one is not only outdated but also overloaded and slow. Apparently, websites also age and slow down. It's a shame they need to be replaced, but let’s not get too sentimental about the digital world.

The new website will be launching soon, and on top of that, as something I’ve long wanted, I’ve translated all the texts I’ve written (well, I’m in the process, but almost there) into English as well. It’s been quite a task! So, on the new site, you’ll be able to read my posts in either Finnish or English.

With the new site, my print shop will also get a more reliable look. Plus, the prices for the prints will change slightly (some will even get cheaper—imagine that!) and it’ll be much easier to order different-sized photos of the Nordic nature to any corner of the world.

Seeds collected from the yard for next year are drying: at the top left, marigold, at the bottom, tagetes, and chamomile in the basket.

In the meantime, I’m also juggling a regular day job (if I haven’t mentioned it before, I have one of those alongside this business) and creating videos.

Speaking of videos, here’s a new one. It’s all about preparing for winter. It feels a bit strange to already be thinking about winter, but last night we had our first frost, and a year ago around this time, the first snow fell and stayed until June.

Enjoy the video! I’ll be back soon with the new website! :)
